Letter to TRCS Parents: What to Expect on Picture Day
Dear Parents,
Just a reminder that Two Rivers Community School kindergarten through fourth grade class students will have their photos taken this Friday, October 25th. Fifth through eighth grade class students will have their photos taken next week on Friday, November 1st.
My shoot day workflow will be slightly different from previous years as I plan to spend a little more time with each student to capture a range of natural poses against a custom collection of backdrops. For future photoshoots, I plan to continually incorporate fresh, new, natural and creative scenes from around school campus.
For this fall photoshoot, I will be taking photos against a plain grey backdrop which will be used in the school yearbook as well as designing two fall themed indoor backdrops. If you would like your child(ren) to dress formally or wear an outfit which will coordinate with fall leaf colors, feel free to have them dress accordingly or feel free to let them wear whatever clothing/costume they feel most comfortable in for their school portrait day.
The week following your child’s photoshoot date, please look for an access code card in your child’s Wednesday folder which will provide more information about accessing your child’s school portraits. This information sheet will contain your child’s name, your child’s grade, my contact information and an access code, unique to your child, which can be used to login online to view proofs and order photographic prints of your child(ren). I am also offering a 10% discount for all early bird orders.
Each access code distributed is unique to your child and opens your personal online gallery. Anyone with this code can access and potentially purchase your child’s photos. Please do not share this code with anyone who you do NOT want to have access to these photos. However, please feel free to share your child’s unique access code with any friends and family who may also want to buy prints. There are some great gift options available for your holiday shopping needs but grandma/grandpa, etc may also want to choose their own selections as well.
After logging in using your child’s unique access code, you will be directed to your personal online gallery at GotPhoto.com, which is the service I use to handle ordering and delivery of high-quality photo products and prints. You can choose from a number of package selections, digital downloads, individual prints and photo products which are available for you to purchase. GotPhoto contracts with several national print labs and Ark-La-Tex is the chosen photography lab to fulfill this years prints.
When selecting package options you may combine different poses of one child and/or mix with poses of siblings in order to make the most of available package options. I welcome your feedback as I incorporate this new service into my business. If you like to see any additional products and/or package option choices made available for future photo sessions, please feel feel to contact me with ideas/suggestions. All available products, packages and pricing are current as of August 30th, 2019. Print labs, package options and print choices could possibly be adjusted for future photo sessions however any changes will reflect the same consistent value with regards to producing high-quality, time-treasured portraits of your child(ren).
The order deadline for free shipping is set for Sunday, November 24th and you can expect to receive reminders when this date approaches. Once all the print selections have been reviewed by myself personally, all orders will be sent to print and all deadline orders will be delivered in your child’s Wednesday folders before the December holidays. You can also choose to pay shipping if you would like to receive your order at your home address instead. Orders will be accepted after the deadline date, however shipping charges will be included for delivery to your home address and there are no guarantees on delivery date of any orders placed after the deadline.
